My new pricing

Well, I've got a lot of things in the works that I can't wait to share once completed!  I'm working on a website!  I've got a new logo you can see below (and which you'll see all over my Facebook page).  I've got my first maternity shoot to blog about. But in the meantime, here's some information about pricing.  Remember, if you booked a session with me prior to June 30, you'll still get the "introductory rate" session and CD of images for a combined price of $150. But, effective July 1, I'll be offering the following prices and packages:

Baby Bear Photography Pricing 
(effective July 1, 2011; subject to change)

Standard Session Fee: $125

A full session can last up to two hours!  We'll meet at your home or a park, or decide on another outdoor location for the shoot.  Up to five people (or pets) can be included in the photos.  I will process your photos in the "digital darkroom" using top-of-the-line editing software and make approximately 30 digital proofs available for viewing online (gallery is password-protected).

Prints and digital files are not included, unless otherwise stated, and must be purchased separately (see below).

Additional charges: $40 for travel more than 30 miles beyond the 07821 ZIP code; $25 for each additional person (or pet) above five.

Please note the session fee is non-refundable and due at the time of booking, but print packages can be chosen after the images are made available online.

All print packages are processed using professional photo-printing companies and should produce the highest quality prints.

* Resolution of images will be suitable for online use, but not printing. CD of low-res images is only available with these print packages. 


Multi-Session Package Specials

"Before and After": $225
This package would make a great gift for an expectant Mommy! Think unique Baby Shower gift!

My "Before and After" package includes a mini-maternity session of approximately 30 to 45 minutes, and a standard newborn session of up to two hours once the baby is born. You will receive a free 8x10" print with each session, plus 25 custom birth announcements after the newborn session or a $50 print credit toward the product of your choice.

This special is a discount of more than 20 percent off the full value of $285!

"Watch Me Grow": $450
This package will capture special milestone ages in your child's life! A great holiday or birthday gift!

This package includes three standard sessions of up to two hours during the course of one 13-month period. You could choose a newborn session, 6-month session and 1st birthday session; or at 1 year old, 18 months and 2 years old — whatever combination works best for you! You will receive a free 8x10" print with each session plus a $100 print credit that can be used for products of your choice from any of the sessions.

This special is a discount of more than 20 percent off the full value of $565!

"A La Carte" Print Items

A full CD of non-watermarked, print-quality images from your session is available for $300. 

A wide variety of print sizes and special items are available. Prints can be ordered as large as 24x30" or as small as sheets of wallet-size photos. Special items include storyboards, statuettes, gallery wraps, custom birth announcements or holiday cards, key chains, magnets, accordion books and even entire albums!

Loveable Brothers

A couple weeks ago, I did another shoot with little boys!  I went to school with the mother of the little boys, Sophia.  We hadn't seen each other in fifteen years or so, but reconnected on facebook!  So I was thrilled when she asked me to do a shoot.  Sophia's little guys are 4 months and 18 months!  What cuties!  We did the shoot mostly in her beautiful backyard in Hunterdon County.

Energetic Boys {Frelinghuysen Arboretum, Morristown, NJ}

I am way behind with this blog--sorry, it's just so much easier to share photos on facebook.  Apologies to all you non-facebook people!  I'm playing catch-up now!

Back in June, I did this shoot at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morristown, NJ.  It was a beautiful day and a great location for a shoot!  There was lots of space to run around which is important when doing a shoot with three boys!  I had a blast running around with three energetic, adorable boys.  The twins are four years old.  How cute are they?

And here's one of their handsome older brother (7 years old)! 

Newborn Photo Session

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of photographing a longtime friend's newborn baby girl, "S." What a peanut! And so alert for only 10 days old! Little "S" was awake the entire session!  Because she was awake and alert the entire time, we didn't get any traditional sleepy baby newborn shots but that's okay!  I mean, how cute is this little babe???  And look at those gorgeous eyes!  (And Mama looks pretty great too!)

Lots and Lots of Birthdays!

Over the past week, we have had three birthday parties to attend! Last Sunday, we attended a birthday barbeque in honor of my brother. We all had a great time that day! Here are some photos from that day.

First Birthday Party

On Saturday, we attended a first birthday party for this adorable little girl!  Sydney is the daughter of very close friends of ours.  I just had to share this one.  She looks like a super star!

And here is one of Sydney's first cousins, Boden.  I love the eyes.  He looks so soulful! 

Montclair Session

Last Saturday, I had a session with two adorable children. We met at the Van Vleck House in Montclair, NJ.  This was my first time here and a perfect place for a session with two curious kids!  The kids really enjoyed exploring the grounds.   Jules is 3 and loves bugs, especially beetles!  She found lots of bugs in the gardens--that made her very happy!

Summer sessions are booking up fast!  I am all booked up for the month of June and for the beginning of July.  As a reminder, I'm offering a special if you book a session by June 30 and use it by August 15.  The session will be discounted from $125 to $100 and I am offering a disc of 25-30 photos on a disc for an additional $50.  Once again, you must book your session by June 30 to get this special offer.  After that, I will be offering print packages instead of the disc. 

Graduation Photos

On Sunday, my "baby" sister graduated from college.  Okay, I guess she's not really a baby any longer--not only is Ashley a college graduate but she's getting married in a year and a half!  Anyway, I wanted to share a few photos I took. 

The weather wasn't too nice on Sunday--it rained for much of the day but I found a park with a big gazebo where I took most of the photos. 

These are just a few of the great shots we got!  Our graduate is very photogenic!  I just love how these photos are fun, beautiful and natural-looking!  I still remember my senior portrait from high school...with a lime green background! 

Mother's Day Photos

I hope everybody had as lovely a Mother's Day as I did!  It was a beautiful day and it was really nice to spend the day with our families.  I thought I'd share a couple of the cute photos I got.  :)

This is our sweet niece, Kayla!  In a few more months, she's going to have a little sister!  We're so excited!

Earth Fest at Heaven Hills Farm

I spent a wonderful Sunday afternoon with my family at Heaven Hill Farm in Vernon, NJ.  They were having Earth Fest that day and it was completely free so we went to check it out!  What a cute farm--they have farm animals, hayrides, and a cute farm store.  There were also lots of vendors set up, a big giant slide and lots of room to run around and play!

A Spring Sunday

We had an absolutely gorgeous weekend and what better way to spend a Sunday morning than in a park in Sparta with this beautiful family.

Okay, so maybe I AM biased because they are actually cousins of mine!  But I think these kids are two of the cutest kids I know!  Vincent is 3 years old and was so much fun to photograph!

Vincent is also a GREAT big brother to one-year-old Alaina.  Poor Alaina wasn't feeling great so it was hard to coax a smile out of her.

I absolutely love this one of Alaina and her mommy--they both look so beautiful!

Welcome to my brand new blog!  My name is Marisa and I'm so excited to be starting up Baby Bear Photography!  I specialize in natural light photography, babies, children, maternity and family shoots.  I wear many hats--wife, mother of an almost-two-year-old, teacher, co-leader of the Sussex County chapter of the Holistic Moms Network.  Photography is a true passion of mine!  I love that in a nanosecond, I can capture a moment that will be with you for a lifetime.
